Marketplace Terms
These terms govern use of Collectors Card Vault, including collection, league, marketplace, shipping, payment, and support features. By creating or using an account, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice. Nothing in these terms waives rights that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, protect your credentials, use mandatory two-factor authentication, and promptly report compromise. We may verify identity, seller, tax, bank, and contact information when required by law, payment partners, risk controls, or transaction volume. Do not upload Social Security cards. Verification documents must be handled by an approved identity provider, not ordinary platform storage.
Platform role
Collector's Card Vault provides catalog, collection, communication, listing, and marketplace tools. Buyers and sellers—not the Vault—form the sale contract. Sellers alone are responsible for lawful ownership, authenticity, description, condition, photographs, packaging, shipment, taxes, and fulfillment. Catalog images, reference prices, scans, AI suggestions, and third-party data are informational and are not appraisals, guarantees, endorsements, or representations of an item's condition or value.
Financial crime, fraud, and prohibited payment activity
The marketplace is limited to domestic United States transactions. Buyers and sellers must maintain a verified U.S. address, all orders must ship between U.S. addresses using an approved trackable carrier, and payment cards must be issued in the United States. International shipping, international payment cards, freight forwarding for export, and attempts to route a transaction through another person or address are prohibited.
You may not use the Vault to conceal the source, ownership, control, or destination of funds; split, structure, cycle, or layer transactions; conduct sham or self-dealing sales; manipulate prices; use stolen or unauthorized payment methods or identities; evade sanctions, tax, verification, or reporting requirements; or move a Vault transaction to cash, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or another off-platform settlement method.
The Vault and its payment providers may require identity or payment verification, apply 3-D Secure, limit or block activity, delay fulfillment, settlement, or payout, request supporting evidence, preserve transaction records, restrict or close an account, cancel or refund a transaction when authorized, and respond to lawful process or report activity when required or permitted by law. These controls do not guarantee detection of every unlawful transaction.
Account closure, reconciliation, and retained records
A member may request account closure but may not use closure to cancel, abandon, conceal, or avoid an order, trade, refund, chargeback, dispute, fee, tax obligation, investigation, or payout hold. The Vault may pause listings and new transaction activity when a closure request is submitted. Closure is finalized only after all obligations and funds are reconciled and any required review is complete.
Closing an account disables future access and activity; it does not erase the account's history. The Vault may preserve transaction, payment, tax, identity-verification status, shipping, dispute, moderation, security, fraud-prevention, audit, and legal records for as long as required or permitted by applicable law and documented retention needs. Privacy requests remain subject to the Privacy Notice, identity verification, and applicable legal exceptions. The verified email address receives notice when a request is opened and when closure is finalized.
Catalog identity and prohibited misidentification
Every card or sealed product offered for sale or trade must be matched to a Vault-approved catalog record. The catalog name, game, set, collector number, product identifier, edition, language, and variant are identity fields and may not be replaced, embellished, keyword-stuffed, or altered by a seller. Sellers may describe only the specific item's condition, quantity, provenance, and other permitted attributes. If no exact catalog match exists, the item must remain unlisted while catalog review is requested; a similar item is not an acceptable substitute.
By submitting a listing, the seller certifies that the photographed item is the exact catalog product identified by the platform and that all variant, printing, grading, seal, and condition information is accurate. Knowingly or recklessly identifying an item as another product, edition, variant, grade, or sealed configuration is prohibited. The Vault may remove or quarantine the listing, preserve evidence, restrict sales, trades, or payouts, cancel or reverse an affected transaction where authorized, require a refund or return, and suspend or terminate the account. Repeated or intentional misidentification may be referred to payment providers or lawful authorities when appropriate. These remedies do not limit buyer rights or obligations imposed by law.
Listings, images, and intellectual property
Verified catalog imagery may identify an item when a seller does not provide photographs. Optional seller photographs document the actual item and must be clear, current, accurate, and unmanipulated. Users retain ownership of their content and grant the Vault a limited license to host, resize, moderate, and display it to operate the service. Game names, card art, rules, trademarks, and product imagery belong to their respective owners. The Vault claims no affiliation unless expressly stated. Users may not upload counterfeit, infringing, stolen, dangerous, manipulated, or misleading material.
Orders, fees, shipping, and disputes
Carts and five-minute reservations. Placing an item in a cart does not reserve it, remove it from sale, or guarantee availability. When a buyer begins secure checkout, available inventory may be reserved for five minutes. If multiple buyers attempt to reserve the same unit, the first reservation atomically recorded by The Vault controls; account age, cart age, and browser timing do not create priority. An unpaid reservation expires automatically and the item may immediately become available to another buyer. Payment received after a reservation has expired cannot claim inventory already released or reassigned and will be promptly reversed or refunded. Checkout notices and timers are informational; the server-recorded reservation timestamp controls.
Sellers set the amount they want to receive for an item. Before publication, the marketplace adds a 5% Vault commission and its configured payment-processing estimate, currently based on Stripe's 2.9% domestic online-card rate plus its $0.30 fixed amount, then displays the resulting combined item price. That same combined price carries into the cart and payment page without adding either fee a second time. The Vault does not add the same commission or processing estimate a second time at checkout. Shipping, taxes, insurance, and the total charge must still be disclosed before payment. Sellers must use supported trackable shipping, enter the carrier and tracking number, follow the published protection instructions, and preserve evidence. A buyer should report an apparent delivery, condition, authenticity, resealing, or fraud issue promptly through the case system; the current operational target is within 72 hours of confirmed delivery, but that target does not shorten any nonwaivable legal, payment-network, latent-defect, or fraud right. Case-authorized inspections may be sent by trackable USPS mail to PO Box 5187, Princeton, WV 24740. Do not mail an item without a case authorization number.
Seller settlement. Buyer payments are processed through the Vault marketplace account. Sellers must complete the embedded payout activation before publishing listings. Unless a dispute, refund, chargeback, risk review, legal restriction, or payment-provider hold applies, eligible seller proceeds are released to the seller's verified Stripe payout balance 48 hours after UPS confirms delivery. Bank or debit-card posting time after release is controlled by Stripe and the seller's financial institution.
Seller nonfulfillment. If an item is damaged before shipment, is no longer available, or otherwise cannot be shipped as promised, the seller must promptly cancel before marking it shipped and select an accurate reason. The buyer will receive a prompt full refund of the item price, original shipping charge, and applicable taxes. The Vault will not deduct a seller cancellation charge from the buyer's refund. A $1.00 nonfulfillment fee may be charged to the seller, subject to applicable law, payment-provider rules, disclosed fee terms, and any staff waiver. Repeated or misleading cancellations may affect seller standing or trigger review.
The platform may temporarily restrict listings or payouts while reviewing credible risk, preserve evidence, request information, refund or return an item where authorized, or suspend an account. An allegation alone does not establish wrongdoing. Parties receive notice and an opportunity to provide evidence when practicable. Platform case decisions govern only the internal remedy and do not eliminate rights that cannot legally be waived.
Prohibited conduct
No counterfeit or resealed goods, shill transactions, price manipulation, harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content, evasion, scraping, malware, impersonation, unlawful gambling, infringement, off-platform fee evasion, or misuse of personal data. Bios, leagues, and community content must remain PG.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service and reference data are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, buyer or seller identity, card grade, authenticity, delivery, merchantability, fitness, or price accuracy. Nothing excludes liability or remedies that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. These disclaimers apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Dispute resolution and arbitration notice
Before filing a claim, you and the Vault agree to attempt informal resolution by sending a written notice describing the claim and the requested relief to customerservice@collectorscardvault.com and allowing 30 days for a response. This informal process does not limit small-claims access, payment-network rights, agency complaints, requests for emergency injunctive relief, or any right that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive. No mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver applies unless a later version clearly states the administrator, rules, fees, opt-out procedure, and legally required exceptions and is separately accepted when required.
Changes and contact
Material changes require notice and, when legally required, renewed acceptance. Support: customerservice@collectorscardvault.com. Intellectual-property notices should identify the protected work, the disputed material, contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and authorized. Send notices to customerservice@collectorscardvault.com.
